Ephesians
In this series, Dave walks us through the book of Ephesians one chapter at a time. The first three chapters focus on belief,
and the last three chapters focus on practice.

What Matters About Church
In this provocative series (based on evangelical David Fich's book The End of Evangelicalism), Dave explores three ideologies that have led to distrous results in the evangelical tradition: the inerrant Bible; the decision for Christ; and the Christian nation. Agreeing with Finch, he shows how our understanding of the inerrant Bible has shaped the church for arrogance; our use of the decision for Christ approach has shaped us for duplicity; and our understanding of the church's mission as being primarily a political one has shaped us for dispassion in the world. He examines each of these, looking at where they came from and how they became prominent, and suggests new ways to revitalize our emphasis on the authority of the Bible, salvation, and the church's mission in the world.

Building Blocks
This recurring series at Wildwind explores key stories in the Bible and asks what these ancient stories have to teach us today.

Leveling Up
Wildwind offers Financial Peace University to teach people, in detail, how to order their financial lives and achieve financial freedom. But the purpose of this series is to address financial issues from a Biblical perspective, showing the strong Biblical references as to how money is to be managed. We are confident that as we do this, both our personal financial lives and the financial health and strength of Wildwind Church will move to the next level.

Jesus' parable of the prodigal son, the portrayal of that parable in a painting by Rembrandt, and a book by Henri Nouwen called The Return of the Prodigal Son serve as the backdrop for this series that examines the love of God.

How to Listen to a Sermon
In our informal survey of people at Wildwind, not one person had ever heard a sermon before on how to hear a sermon - even people who have heard thousands of sermons in their lives. Why not? What are we looking for in a sermon? What is actually happening (or should be happening) in the process? How do we know if a sermon was successful? What is a sermon supposed to accomplish? Is the preacher or the listener most important? This series addresses those basic issues, and asks why they aren't addressed more often.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality

You can get an address and directions at Google Maps..  Don't be confused - our church meets in a building that belong to another church.

Something I really love about it is that the church believes and teaches that God is at work everywhere.  The first time a person shows up at church isn't the beginning of God's activity in their lives -- it's just a part of the picture.  The church focuses on helping people learn to identify God's presence and activity in their lives.  It believes deeply in both individuality and in community.  Though God works in us individually, learning about God is best done in community where we can learn from and support each other. 

Anyway, there's a little about the church.  I'd love for you to come by sometime.  No church is for everybody, but Wildwind is a pretty unique place and you might dig it.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
